Virus
A virus is a program that can harm computers data and important programs by adding nonsense program. There are different types of virus which attack on the computer in different ways.
A virus can copy itself continuously that'why its infection become more and more serious as long as we use virus injected computer. It changes the computer behaviour to abnormal. It sometimes display some error, unwanted massages, delete some data, install unwanted application.
Antivirus
The antivirus are the software which ensure virus free environment in the computer. They are used to scan the disk of any virus and remove the virus or any other malware like spyware or adware received from internet.
The antivirus software is responsible to scan and clean the virus from the disk and prevent the virus entry in the computer system.
Safety mearures of computer and internet:
- Choose strong password :- Create a unique password for each important account and update it regularly. Password should be contain letters, numbers and symbols.
- Backup on a regular basis :- Make a practice to take regular backup of the important data.
- Do not use pirated software :- Pirated and unlinced software are cheaper but have a great risk of contain viruses. Pirated software do not update regularly.
- Install proyective software :- Install protective software(antivirus) and set it to scan your files and folder or viruses on a regular basis.
- Scan all portable storage devices before use :- Use an antivirus software to scan all storage devices for ex- Pen drive,CD etc before connecting them to your computer.
