Independence Day 2020

The 73rd independence Day of India. Independence day is celebrated in India every year on 15th of august with great joy and happiness. 15th august is a historical day for India. This day come after a long journey and hard struggle. India became independent from British rule on 15th august 1957. India becomes a free country on this day and its only then we could secure our democratic rights as the citizens of India. India was under the British rule for around 200 years. Great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya, Tilak, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, 
devoted their entire life for the freedom of our country. Now, we are living in free India because of their huge sacrifices. Our Independence gives us the reason to enjoy out fundamental rights laid down by the constitution. We are now a self-governed democratic country and have the voting rights. The feeling of self-reliance and freedom fills the heart of the citizens with supreme happiness and joy. It is all due to the tireless efforts and numorous sacrifices of several great people who sacrificed their lives without any fear. Independence Day 
ceremony is organised at the Red Fort on 15th August. Our Prime Minister unfurl the national flag here, early in the morning. Lots of people participate in this ceremony. This day is also celebrated in all schools, education institutes, collages, offices etc. National Flag is unfurled by the Chief Guest and then National Anthem is sung by all Guest, School teachers and students give speech on this occasion. Patriotic song are sung by students. Many cultural activities are arranged on this day. Sweets are distributed to everyone. Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm all across the country. Citizens decorate their houses and offices with tricolour balloons and decorative materials. Everyone pays tribute to great freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives of the country's freedom.
